Program Description
Medical Office Administration
Part of the Medical Office Administration program is focused on Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel to assist graduates in obtaining entry-level employment as a medical office administration specialist. Further coursework improves the college student’s communication and learning skills to better interact with medical colleagues. After graduation, students will be able to assist with patient care by supporting medical staff with crucial tasks that help the medical office run smoothly.
Healthcare Certification
Coursework in this program prepares college students for Certified Medical Administrative Assistant and Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist certifications offered by the National Health Association (NHA). With these certifications, graduates are ready for entry-level employment in a healthcare environment. In addition to certification preparation, school instructors teach classes in medical terminology, medical law and ethics, electronic health records, and healthcare insurance and billing to supplement certification preparation.
