Program Description
HVAC/R Technology
Students in this program will be ready to show their HVAC capabilities and excellence by completing the NATE certification exam. In addition to classroom theory, students will get hands-on experience in applied technical HVAC/R courses. Graduates will be prepared for entry-level apprenticeships.
The HVAC/R technician training program focuses on heat pumps, HVAC controls and systems, electrical circuits, HVAC/R computer fundamentals, low voltage controls and thermostats, and customer service and safety protocols.
The HVAC/R technician training program at ICT includes an externship. This HVAC/R program places you at a partnering company for 135 hours. This extensive field experience gives the student the opportunity to put their new skills to work in a career environment and learn firsthand and work next to experienced HVAC experts.
Graduation will help you qualify for a wide range of technician, support, repair, and maintenance positions in the HVAC/R and refrigeration field.

Get Started in a Growing Field
HVAC and Refrigeration systems are constantly running and are always going to need maintenance and repair. The HVAC/R technician training program at ICT offers training in all phases of repair and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The HVAC/R technician program also includes the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certifications in the management of refrigerants and North American Technicians Excellence (NATE) Certifications, designed to recognize truly excellent and capable HVAC/R professionals.
